In a new review at JCA, Judit Pallos provides some details on a proposal for peace on the Korean Peninsula authored by Shepherd Iverson and titled One Korea – A Proposal for Peace.
This proposal Iverson introduces a plan that would “pay $300 billion to the North
Korean leadership and citizens if an agreement was reached ‘to put down their guns and
join the rest of the world as a wealthy new member of the international community’.”
In other words, this seems a market-based peace plan. Idealistic, perhaps, but Iverson does draw on other reunifications in in coming up with his plan.
