China and Globalization

JCA editorial board member Kosmas Tsokhas has a new review available, looking at the Handbook on China and Globalization, edited by Huiyao Wang and Lu Miao and published by Edward Elgar.

Tsokhas concentrates his review on the competition between the USA and China. Like all handbooks, there’s a mix of responses to this competition.

The reviewer notes the contradictions within the volume, especially when it comes to giving “too much credence to the one-sided official mantra that the BRI will create inclusive win-win development rather than asymmetric outcomes…”, with some gilding of the lily, conspiratorial guesswork, and eye-wash alongside chapters that are scholarly and research intensive.

The review is available for free download for a short time.
