2017 Impact Factors

The Web of Science has released its impact factors for listed journals for 2017.

Different people have quite divergent views on the utility of such rankings. Whatever one’s views, there is little doubt that IFs and the rankings do have consequences for journals, including in matters like submissions. Some jurisdictions also direct scholars to consider IFs when they publish.

In 2017, the reports list JCA as ranked 7th in the Area Studies category of almost 70 journals. The Impact Factor is 1.581, which is the highest JCA has achieved.
